A Montessori environment is filled with materials and activities that meet the unique interests, academic levels and developmental needs of the children within it. These are introduced to the child sequentially, enabling the child to explore and learn independently.

At the core of the Montessori Method is the belief that through exploration, trial and error and repetition comes mastery. There is nothing quite like the joy of hearing a happy child exclaim "I did it!" Once a child at our little yellow school has mastered a concept, it is not unusual to hear them say 'That was so easy peasy lemon squeezy!' and everyone will know exactly what they mean. It is also very fun to say.
Imagine my surprise when I came across the following item while out grocery shopping during the summer.
