A Bumper Potato Crop!

Each spring, the children at our school plant seed potatoes in one of our gardens at the very back of our half acre property. The children watch as the potato plants begin to grow.

Throughout the summer, the plants were kept watered. When we returned to school in September, the plants had begun to die. This let us know that the potatoes were ready to harvest.

Potato Ready For The Harvest

All of the children got together for the harvest.  Here are some photographs of our harvest.

We hope everyone enjoyed their potatoes!
