Delightful December Days

It is hard to believe that the holidays are here.  December at our little yellow school has been filled with many delightful days.  While it may have been a little different this year, our happy times together have made it a December to remember!

Our Annual Food Drive

The holiday season at our little yellow school always begins with our annual Food Drive for a local food bank.  The need this year is greater than ever and the children were so happy to help their community!

Let it Snow!

December gave us our first real snow, creating a magical white world.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

The children joined together to create beautiful snow friends.

Special Delivery

One morning we arrived at school to find a special delivery from the North Pole!  It was from Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves!  They made gingerbread cookies and face masks for us.  What a wonderful surprise!

Time for Our Party

Our last day before the holidays was our big party!  The children enjoyed some delicious festive treats and played some exciting holiday games.

Happy Holidays from everyone at our little yellow school!

Baby (Milkweed) Seeds

During the fall months, the children at our little yellow school have been collecting seeds and other natural treasures during our outdoor time.  There is so much to explore around our school!

Deciduous/Coniferous

Of all the seeds collected, our favourite are those of the milkweed plant.

Milkweed Pods

One of our playgrounds, the 'soccer field', has a butterfly garden.  It is so nice to share our outdoor space with the butterflies.  We can't wait to plant the milkweed seeds we collected in our butterfly garden next spring.
